Mykind Organics Plant Calcium contains 800 mg of calcium and is sourced from organic algae and 20 different powdered fruits and vegetables, as opposed to other calcium supplements, which can be sourced from pulverized and ground-up limestone or from animal bone. Other calcium products can also contain synthetic binders and fillers, making them more difficult to digest.
Calcium supplementation is extremely important in maintaining healthy bone mass and density, and to lower the risk of developing osteoporosis later in life, a condition that affects millions of people in North America.
