If you'd like to consume more organ meat - whether just for general well-being or for the sake of a paleo, ketogenic, or carnivore diet, or for training, or even to support the health of your own organs - but just can't bring yourself to do it as regularly as you'd like, New Zealand Grass-Fed Liver Powder capsules are a great way to go.

Product Notes:

Organ meat is quite dense in nutrients, and liver in particular is a great source not only of protein but also of micronutrients like vitamins A, B12, and folate, and of minerals like copper, zinc, and especially iron, yet it's also relatively low in calories and fat. As such, it can be recommended for anemic or obese people, as well as those with nyctalopia (night blindness) or low immunity, among others. In addition, many athletes and body builders swear by its ability to help give them more energy, strength, and stamina and to help with recovery. And those who subscribe to the principles of "Organotherapy" believe that consuming animal organs can help improve or support the functioning of the corresponding organ in ourselves.

But let's face it: for most people, liver is an acquired taste, at best - one that many of us have very little desire to acquire, despite those benefits. It's also not that easy to cook properly (without drying it out too much), and you have to eat a fair bit of it fairly often to really get these benefits. And depending on where you live, there can also be a concern that there may be too many heavy metals, pesticides, or hormones or even a risk of so-called "Mad Cow Disease" in the meat or tinned liver pâté you might be able to buy from your local grocer.

That's where a convenient format such as these capsules of freeze-dried (or "lyophilized") pure bovine liver powder (also called desiccated liver) produced from grass-fed New Zealand cattle (which are well-known to be free of toxins and disease) comes into play. Not only do they do the cooking for you, as it were, by providing something pure and ready to eat with a long shelf life and no real risk of spoiling, but by removing at least 95% of the water content, they also make it so concentrated you don't have to eat that much of it. Best of all, they take nearly all of the 'ugh' taste out of it, and this version even adds a bit of peppermint flavour to mask what little is left of the natural liver flavour. And to help your body absorb the iron it contains (which can be used to produce more hemoglobin in the blood to carry oxygen to fuel both your muscles and your mind), some Vitamin C has also been included.

Ingredients:

Each Grass-Fed Beef Liver capsule contains:

Liver organ, from bovine source (Bos taurus)*: 600 mg
Vitamin C (ascorbic palmitate): 6 mg

Non-medicinal ingredients: Natural peppermint flavour, vegetable magnesium stearate, and silicon dioxide in a non-GMO vegetable capsule made of vegetable carbohydrate gum and purified water.

*Superior quality, freeze-dried organ powder from New Zealand grass-fed beef. Guaranteed free of pesticides, growth hormones, antibiotics, and bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE).

Contains no: Gluten, soy, wheat, eggs, dairy, yeast, citrus, preservatives, artificial flavour or colour, starch, or sugar.

Suggested Usage:

Adults: Take 6 capsules daily, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.

Warnings:

Risk information: none, apart from keep out of reach of children (due to high iron content). But do not exceed the recommended dosage, since liver is very high in vitamin A, and too much of that can cause hypervitaminosis A, which can lead to a range of unwanted symptoms. It is also high in purine, which can be problematic for those prone to gout.
