Borage Oil is a more concentrated source of GLA than Evening Primrose Oil. In addition to being used for skin conditions such as eczema, Borage Oil is known for having anti-inflammatory properties, which is why some take it as a natural adjunctive therapy for rheumatoid arthritis. It may also provide some symptomatic relief to women undergoing menopause or suffering from PMS.
Borage Oil is a nutritional oil rich in polyunsaturated fats (over 80%), containing the enhanced essential fatty acids Linoleic Acid and Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA). Although our bodies can manufacture GLA from dietary linoleic acid, it can be more efficiently utilized when supplied directly by dietary sources.
