Egg white Powder is an excellent low fat protein source of essential amino acids. It is an excellent natural source of high quality protein. Good quality proteins contain virtually no fat or carbohydrates and rate well on the PDCAAS (Protein Digestibility Corrected Amino Acid Score), the newest and most accurate measurement of a protein's quality. NOW Eggwhite Protein is fat-free and only contains 1 g of carbs per serving, and rates as one of the highest quality proteins available when using the PDCAAS.
Egg white protein is the standard by which all proteins are measured. A 20 gram serving provides 16 grams of protein. And although egg whites themselves have a glycoprotein called Avidin in it which can bind with biotin (which is needed for bone, hair and nail health) and thus create a biotin deficiency, in this product, the avidin has been inactivated by pasteurization.

Suggested Usage:
For Dietary Protein Supplementation: Add 1/4 cup (20 grams) of Egg White Protein powder to 12 ounces (340ml) of milk or other liquid daily. Mix and consume.
For limited egg white substitution: Mix 2 tablespoons of NOW Foods Egg White Protein powder with six tablespoons of water to equal 2 liquid egg whites. Store jar in a cool, dry place.
This eggwhite powder is pasteurized, which inactivates the avidin glycoprotein. Biotin fortification is thus unnecessary as an accompaniment to this product.
