Some supplemental forms of Vitamin C mostly go in one end and out the other, which is literally wasteful, and some leave you with a bit of a tummy ache on the way, to boot! Not this new type from NOW, which uses a buffered form vitamin C within a liposome (a sphere of phospholipids) to protect the vitamin C as it makes its way through the digestive tract and increase its bioavailability, to ensure a fast and efficient uptake into the cells without the digestive upset of standard forms.
High Absorption Vitamin C
In some cases with nutritional supplement formulas, unless an active nutrient is taken in a 'whole food' form where it's accompanied by lots of co-factors to aid with absorption, our bodies may only be able to metabolize so much of it. This may inhibit delivery of the nutrient to the cells for use, while the rest gets excreted.
