Magnesium is an essential mineral which is involved in energy and carbohydrate metabolism and a myriad of other bodily functions, including maintaining proper muscle function (it helps muscles relax and contract; including the heart muscle). Magnesium Malate is a fully reacted mineral supplement; it contains a minimum of 60% Malic Acid (usually derived from apples).

Product Notes:

Magnesium malate may be of particular interest to those suffering from fibromyalgia, since studies have found a reduction in pain symptoms among those taking it in that population. This may also apply to those suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (since it might not only reduce muscle pain but also increase energy, as Malic Acid assists our bodies' Krebs cycle, which converts food into energy).

Ingredients:

Each tablet contains: 115 mg Magnesium (from 850 mg Malic Acid).
Calcium (from Calcium Carbonate): 100 mg

Non-medicinal ingredients: Tablet coating [water, hypromellose, stearic acid (vegetable source), sunflower lecithin, triethyl citrate], Hyprolose, Cellulose, Stearic Acid (vegetable source), Croscarmellose Sodium, Magnesium Stearate (vegetable source), and Silica.

Suggested Usage:

Adults: Take 1 tablet 3 times daily with food, a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products. Store in an airtight container, protected from light.

Warnings:

Risk information: none. Health Canada Natural Product Number: 80070092.
