The Level 2 Advanced Filter by OKO is ideal for providing safe, clean water for travelers, hikers, campers, and emergency situations, alike. It filters out 99.9% of the most commonly found bacteria and microorganisms found in lakes, streams, and international water sources, and each filter can clean up to 100 gallons before needing replacing.
Product Notes:
This filter can be used with ÖKO's regular water bottles (sold separately), but not the Okopure recyclable water bottles we sell. The filtration media it uses was originally developed by NASA for space stations (so astronauts could reclaim their own waste water), which uses a physical process of positively charged electro-adsorption (which is activated by contact with water), to attract and trap harmful materials many times smaller than its 2 micron pore size, plus silver ions which kill bacteria on contact.
