Product Notes:
Not all types being marketed as Oil of Oregano are created equal, however – with some actually being from a different type of plant, such as sage or thyme; others having synthetic additives; or higher levels of thymol, which can be harmful to our intestinal flora. And virtually no other line has the full range and right balance of nutrients, active ingredients and properties as this wild-grown blend, which is safe to consume every day.
Oreganol P73 oil of oregano is made from a specific blend of several high-grade wild oregano species grown in mineral-rich soil on mountains in the Mediterranean. No chemicals or solvents were used in the extraction process to convert it to an oil: just steam distillation, using deep spring water which also has a high mineral content. These factors give it a unique chemical profile (with a lot of calcium, magnesium, zinc, and carvacrol, but not too much thymol), and make it safe for everyday use, either internally or topically. It comes here either in Regular or Super Strength (which is three times stronger).
North American Herb & Spice (NAHS) was the first company to introduce edible oil of oregano to the North American market, and have done extensive research and testing on the topic. They have concluded that to be completely safe for repeated consumption, this essential oil should only be made from completely wild, mountain-grown Mediterranean oregano; kept free of all chemicals and pesticides; and emulsified in a carrier oil such as the extra virgin olive oil they use.
The only oregano NAHS uses is a blend of several species of real, 100%-wild Mediterranean oregano, grown in mineral-rich soil in pristine and untarnished remote mountains, where it is picked by hand. And they do not refine this blend, or add anything to it to try to alter the ratio of its natural constituents. As a result, not only does it have an appropriate amount of Oil of Oregano's most well-known polyphenol, carvacrol, but it also does not have too much thymol to jeopardize the healthy bacteria in our gastrointestinal system if consumed daily, and it provides a full range of over 50 active constituents which may have a synergistic effect when consumed together in their original ratios (while other brands may only have about eight such phytochemicals).
Oreganol Ingredients:
Each 0.05 ml drop of the Regular strength Oreganol P73 contains .01 ml of Oregano Oil (Origanum vulgare, leaf)
Each 0.05 ml drop of the Super Strength Oreganol P73 contains .015 ml of Oregano Oil (Origanum vulgare, leaf)
Non-medicinal ingredient for both types: Certified Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Suggested Usage:
For immediate absorption, take two to six drops sublingually (under the tongue) once daily.
You can also add it to juice (e.g., tomato) or water.
The Oreganol P73 Oil of Oregano may be used topically, either as a scrub for the skin, or as an anti-fungal agent, or just rub it on the bottom of the feet, or over the shins, or on the spine, or on the chest -- it will also get absorbed that way (which you may want to do for young children or others who find its taste too strong).
Warnings:
Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use if you have hypersensitivity or are allergic to herbs in the Lamiaceae family. Discontinue use if you experience gastrointestinal upset. Do not exceed recommended dose.
