Barley isn't just a grain for making soup or beer: before it gets to that stage, it grows as a sprouted green grass which is extremely rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, enzymes, phytonutrients, and, of course, chlorophyll.
Organic Traditions Certified Organic barley grass is grown sustainably outdoors, in mineral-rich soil under the sun, and blown by the wind, which can make it more flavourful than greenhouse grass. It's then kept raw and dried below 41°C/106°F to retain its nutritive properties before juicing and then being made into an easily dissolved powder which makes it far more digestible (particularly the cellulose fibers).
