Sytrinol is a patented formulation of antioxidants (a combination of polymethoxylated flavones (PMFs), delta, gamma, and alpha tocotrienols) derived from mandarin oranges and palm fruit, which has several heart health benefits including being able to reduce arterial plaque; improve glycemic control; reduce the aggregation of blood platelets; and lower blood cholesterol.

Product Notes:

Sytrinol Helps Reduce Total Cholesterol and Improve LDL:HDL Cholesterol Ratio

High cholesterol is a large risk factor in cardiovascular diseases, which are a leading cause of death in North America, but this formula may help reduce those risks.

Studies have shown Sytrinol is able to lower the total amount of cholesterol in subjects with moderately elevated cholesterol by about 30% in a month, including large decreases in their bad cholesterol (a 27% decline in LDL, compared to the placebo group, and a 34% reduction in triglycerides), and it also slightly brought up the amount of 'good' HDL cholesterol.

Naming note: this product was originally sold by Prairie Naturals simply under the name Sytrinol. There have also been other North American brands selling this same Sytrinol ingredient under their own brand names either as the sole ingredient (including a discontinued one from W. Gifford-Jones, MD) or with others (in Choles-Sterol from Douglas Laboratories, which is also discontinued in Canada).

Each vegetarian capsule contains 300 mg Sytrinol®, consisting of:

- 270 mg Mandarin Orange Extract (Citrus nobilis, peel) (Standardized to contain 36% Polymethoxylated flavones)
- 30 mg Palm seed oil (Elaeis guineensis, seed) (Standardized to contain 15% Tocotrienols)

Non-medicinal ingredients: Microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, palm oil, hypromellose.

The original inventor and patent holder for Sytrinol® is KGK Synergize Inc. of London, Ontario (aka KGK Science), though other companies such as Next Pharmaceuticals and InterHealth Nutraceuticals, Inc. have held the distribution rights since then.

Suggested Usage:

Take 1 capsule daily with food, or as directed by a health care practitioner. Use for a minimum of 4 weeks to see beneficial results. Consult a healthcare practitioner for use beyond 12 weeks.

Keep out of reach of children. Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to using Sytrinol supplements if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Diarrhea, increase in appetite, rash, insomnia, fatigue and body pain has been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use.
