Buffered Vitamin C Plus Bioflavonoids
This Vitamin C formula has been enhanced with co-factors to maximize how well your body can use it. Alpha Lipoic Acid, itself a potent antioxidant, has been added because it can not only help regenerate Vitamin C, but also help us improve use of Vitamin C in other ways, enhancing absorption into cells through glucose pathways, which can boost its ability to protect and repair cells.
Citrus bioflavonoids are also included because they can increase the Vitamin C's absorption and improve its activity within cells. Similarly, it has been bolstered with Transport C-PLUS threonic acid, a metabolite of vitamin C, because studies have shown it can improve our cells' uptake of vitamin C.

Each capsule contains:
Vitamin C (from Threonic Acid-Enhanced Buffered Calcium Ascorbate): 500 mg
Calcium (from Buffered Calcium Ascorbate): 60 mg
Citrus Bioflavonoids (from Citrus limon, Citrus paradisi, and Citrus sinensis) (Fruit Peel): 100 mg
DL-alpha-Lipoic Acid: 40 mg
Acerola (Malpighia glabra): 25 mg
Rutin (Dimorphandra mollis Fruit): 25 mg
Rose Hips (Rosa canina Seed): 25 mg
Other ingredients: Veg. Capsule (hypromellose, water), Cellulose, Stearic Acid (vegetable source), Magnesium Stearate (vegetable source) and Silica.
Suggested Usage:
Take 1 capsule daily, 1 to 2 times daily, preferably with a meal, or as recommended by your physician. Take a few hours before or after taking other medications. Keep in a cool, dry place.
Warnings:
Do not use NOW Foods Alpha-Sorb C500 if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you have diabetes, renal impairment, hypertension, or are undergoing chemotherapy, or are taking prescription medications. Consuming more than 2000 mg of Vitamin C per day can cause stomach upset for some people.
Vitamin C has the potential to affect oral estrogen medications, HMG CoA inhibitors and blood thinning medications. If taking other prescription medications, consult with your physician before exceeding the daily recommended dose of 500 mg.
