Coriolus/Turkey Tail is probably the world's most prevalent type of mushroom, but also one of its most medically potent and extensively used ones. It's been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to strengthen the physique, increase energy, contend with chronic diseases, and treat pulmonary disorders, being considered particularly useful for treating infections or inflammations of the upper respiratory, urinary and digestive tracts, and helping liver ailments. This antioxidant been researched extensively in recent decades, and has been found to contain some unique polysaccharides (polysaccharide peptide [PSP] and polysaccharide-Krestin [PSK]) which may be able to boost the immune system -- PSP can boost natural killer cells' activity, stimulate interleukin-2 production, and increase the ratio of helper T cells; increasing the immune system response may not only help prevent infections, but also counter chronic fatigue -- and fight the growth of tumors (it's been used in Japan as an adjunct to chemotherapy, with great success).
