Product Notes:
In addition to its traditional role as an expectorant to help relieve chest complaints, some practitioners champion Licorice Extract as a short-term means of contending with adrenal fatigue or insufficiency, by dint of its ability to neutralize the enzyme that breaks down cortisol circulating in your system. However, there can be serious blood pressure and cardio effects of using a full-spectrum licorice extract like this for that purpose, so it is not recommended by Health Canada or the manufacturer. If high blood pressure is already an issue for you, you should seek Deglycyrrhizinated licorice (DGL), instead.
