St. John's Wort may be useful in treating stress-, mood- or cognitive-related debilities such as anxiety, depression, or dysthymia, seasonal affective disorder (SAD), as well as menopausal mood swings and hot flashes (starting after about a month of use).

Product Notes:

St. John's Wort also acts as a diuretic and oily preparations of it are good for gastric indigestion. It's also recognized as having strong antiviral properties. It may also be beneficial in addressing the secondary symptoms related to depression including insomnia, fatigue, and appetite loss.

Ingredients:

Each ml contains: St. John's Wort flowering tops (Hypericum perforatum; Certified Organically Grown) 250 mg QCE* (1:4) per ml.
(*Quantity Crude Equivalent)

Other ingredients: Distilled water, Grain alcohol, and Vegetable glycerine.

Suggested Usage:

Adults: Take 0.8 to 1.6 ml (24 to 48 drops) three times daily in a little water on an empty stomach. May be used up to 6 weeks. Store at room temperature.

Warnings:

Keep out of reach of children. Do not use St. Francis St. John's Wort if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Discontinue use at least 2 weeks before surgery. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, ultraviolet light (UV) or UV therapy. Consult a healthcare practitioner: if you experience sleep disturbances; if you are taking conventional medicine such as contraceptives, HIV-1 protease inhibitors, non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors, immunosuppressants, anticoagulants, digoxin, theophylline, serotonergic antidepressants, migraine therapies, SSRIs and/or anti-epilepsy drugs; if symptoms persist.
