Info: Manually Operated Rotating Peeling Machine
This clever device enables you to perfectly peel potatoes or a variety of other vegetables or fruits in just seconds with a minimum of waste!
The Rotato Peeler is sort of a cross between a lathe and a drill press: you simply mount the item to be peeled between the spiked turntable base and the big movable spiked arm at top and crank the handle at the top of the tower to both rotate the item and move the arm with the cutting blade up or down (depending on which way you turn). (The handle is not shown in the photo: it attaches to the top, but is removable.)
It can easily peel potatoes or other round root vegetables such as turnips or radishes, or onions or cucumbers, or thin-skinned fruit such as apples, pears, peaches, or even kiwi.
The whole unit is about a foot tall, and it has a non-slip base about 5 inches in diameter. It includes two extra blades (in the base), and replacement blades are also available.
Please note, this is not an electric machine; it is operated manually.
