Tired of those little messes that accumulate while you're cooking, when when you take your stirring spoon out of the pan or pot (so it doesn't too hot or slide into the pan, or to replace the lid), or when you take off and set down the lid to stir? Well, we 'have an app for that,' with these devices designed specifically for those jobs.

Product Notes:

If you have a small kitchen or a busy stovetop, you know how annoying it can be to take the lid off a pot and have nowhere to put it. It gets in the way, or you end up putting it somewhere odd temporarily, only to find you can't remember where you put it. This doesn't have to happen – all you need is Trudeau's Silicone Pot Lid Rest Support (which is heat-resistant up to a whopping 482F/250C). It clips onto the rim of your pot easily, and when you take the lid off to let the contents simmer down or to stir, you can suspend the lid over the pot in it so any drips will go right back into the pot, and you won't lose track of the lid. Cluttered kitchen? Small stovetop? Tired of messes caused by drippy lids? Then use Trudeau's pot lid rest support to make your life just a little less frustrating. (Turquoise in colour.)

Similarly, we all know the frustration of balancing a stirring spoon on the side of a pot, only to have it slip down and into the soup or whatever we're making. But it needn't be this way: the Spoonguard can help. It, too, is made from non-stick silicone, able to withstand even higher temperatures - up to 500F/260C. It's a 20 cm (a little under 8") long tube with a split in it which you push onto to the lip of your pot or pan to curves around the top edge. Then, when you need to rest a spoon on it, the guard helps grip the utensil so it doesn't slip in. It works on virtually any pot or pan, and can be cut to size, if necessary. And it's easy to clean: just rinse it in hot water with a little soap, or place on the top rack of the dishwasher. There are two Spoonguards in each package, reddish-brown in colour.

Conversely, you can also go the clip route for your stirring spoons, as well. The Trudeau kitchen corporation has a "Flex Strainless Steel Pot Clip" (which is actually a combination of stainless steel for the springy clip part and highly heat-resistant silicone for its handles/spoon holders), which includes 'teeth' in the upper jaws to better grip large wooden spoons. To use it you simply squeeze the handles together to open the clip, position it over the edge of the pot or pan, and release it so it clamps on, and then you insert the handles of your stirring spoon or other cooking implements into the openings in the handles to suspend the head over the pot so it drips instead of making a mess on your stove or countertop.
