The dozens of holes in the grater are 2mm in diameter; to get to it, chunks of food are fed through the meat grinder, and pass into the drum (whose diameter is 2"), and are then grated from the inside out. (This will not make nut butters, however, and be sure to use only pre-shelled nuts.)
Run on medium-high speed. Always use the plunger to feed things through. Never stick your hands or other objects into the mincer. The mincer and the grater attachment must be washed by hand.
