Derm Immortelle is a new line of natural skincare products by the Canadian company, LaVigne, which debuted with this Face Oil named "Liminal Resilience," perhaps to connote the skin's ability to spring back into shape with a little help, even among those transitioning between a more youthful and more mature appearance.
LaVigne Natural Skincare has been producing anti-aging and healing creams and lotions in Vancouver for 20 years, now, ever since encountering the remarkable active ingredient for cell regeneration called Tepezcohuite, which figures most prominently in their 'Mayan Magic' and also appears in almost all their other products (including this one, to help with acne scarring).
But LaVigne has never been content to rely on a single active ingredient. This product also features an extract derived from common poppy seeds called RonaCare® Poppy SE, which was originally developed by Greenpharma SAS in France and brought to market by a division of Merck in Germany. (The "SE" reportedly stands for face Sagging Elimination; Sensational Eye beautifying; and Strength and Elasticity, for the body.)
RonaCare Poppy SE extract (which is very high in linoleic acid, which is sometimes called Vitamin F), has been clinically tested on middle-aged women (who applied a cream with it on one side of their face and a placebo cream on the other, for 8 weeks).
They found significant reductions in the visibility of dark circles and bags under the eyes as well as significant improvements in the skin's overall density and elasticity, which they attribute to a small increase in blood microcirculation it brings about (which brings in more micro-nutrients to the skin tissues). The study appears in the September 2019 issue of the peer-reviewed trade magazine Cosmetics & Toiletries.
This oil can be used by any skin type (including Dry, Damaged, Mature, or Combination/Oily skin), and it won't clog pores. And because several of its ingredients are aromatic essential oils (such as Orange peel, Patchouli and Ylang Ylang), its benefits aren't confined to the skin: consumers report they find its scent to be very uplifting, as well.
