Info: 100 ml Tincture
A member of the buttercup family, Black Cohosh is considered a female reproductive tract tonic, although this versatile herb has many applications in traditional medicine beyond that.
Black Cohosh has antispasmodic, sedative, diaphoretic, hypotensive, and anti-inflammatory activities, and is also a digestive stimulant, a mild expectorant, and a peripheral vasodilator, and is used to relieve joint pain from rheumatic conditions or neuralgia. But Black Cohosh is now principally used for treating the symptoms of menstruation-related issues, including the absence of it (amenorrhea), painful menstruation (dysmenorrhea), premenstrual syndrome (including related depression or nervous tension), and menopause -- which it can do with comparable effectiveness as Hormone Replacement Therapy, but without increasing the risk of cancer, as the latter has been thought to do.
Branding Note: This is a continuation of the St. Francis Herb Farm Black Cohosh product, and has been relaunched as part of their Fémance series.
