Product Notes:
Black Cohosh has antispasmodic, sedative, diaphoretic, hypotensive, and anti-inflammatory activities, and is also a digestive stimulant, a mild expectorant, and a peripheral vasodilator, and is used to relieve joint pain from rheumatic conditions or neuralgia. But Black Cohosh is now principally used for treating the symptoms of menstruation-related issues, including the absence of it (amenorrhea), painful menstruation (dysmenorrhea), premenstrual syndrome (including related depression or nervous tension), and menopause – which it can do with comparable effectiveness as Hormone Replacement Therapy, but without increasing the risk of cancer, as the latter has been thought to do.
