Product Notes:
Black Cohosh has antispasmodic, sedative, diaphoretic, hypotensive, and anti-inflammatory activities, and is also a digestive stimulant, a mild expectorant, and a peripheral vasodilator, and is used to relieve joint pain from rheumatic conditions or neuralgia. But Black Cohosh is now principally used for treating the symptoms of menstruation-related issues, including the absence of it (amenorrhea), painful menstruation (dysmenorrhea), premenstrual syndrome (including related depression or nervous tension), and menopause – which it can do with comparable effectiveness as Hormone Replacement Therapy, but without increasing the risk of cancer, as the latter has been thought to do.
Branding Note: This product was previously known as Femance Black Cohosh when it was issued as part of St. Francis Herb Farm's Fémance series, but it has now been restored to its original branding and name.
