Menopause can be uneventful for many women, but for those who suffer symptoms, it can be a very trying time. Many are prevented from participating in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) as a treatment due to various health concerns, or they simply do not want it. Black Cohosh provides a good natural alternative, and a clinical study indicates it doesn't have estrogenic effects on the breast,* so it's unlikely to increase the risk of breast cancer on that score.
This formulation is also supplemented with Licorice Root and Dong Quai; all three have been used in Chinese medicine to help relieve the symptoms of menopause, premenstrual syndrome, and nervous tension.
