Standardized Black Cohosh Extract with Licorice and Dong Quai
This NOW Foods formulation is also supplemented with Licorice Root and Dong Quai; all three have been used in Chinese medicine to help relieve the symptoms of menopause, premenstrual syndrome, and nervous tension.

Black Cohosh (Actaea racemosa) (Root) (10:1 Extract): 80 mg
[Equivalent to 800 mg of dried Black Cohosh Root Standardized to 2.5% total Triterpene Glycosides, as 27-Deoxyactein]
Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) (Root): 125 mg
Dong Quai (Angelica sinensis) (Rhizome/Root): 125 mg
Non-medicinal ingredients: Capsule (Gelatin, water), Rice Flour and Magnesium Stearate (vegetable source).
Not manufactured with yeast, wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, fish, shellfish or tree nut ingredients, but produced in a GMP facility that processes other ingredients containing these allergens.
Suggested Usage:
Adults: Take 1 capsule twice daily. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 4 to 6 weeks. Store in a cool, dry place after opening.
Warnings:
Do not use if you are pregnant; or have hypokalemia, high blood pressure, kidney or cardiovascular disorders, uterine fibroids, breast/uterine/ovarian cancer or hormone sensitive conditions such as endometriosis; or are taking anticoagulant/antiplatelet therapy (including warfarin), thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives or other medications which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance.
Consult a health care practitioner prior to using NOW Black Cohosh if you have diabetes, a liver disorder or develop symptoms of liver trouble &/or are taking birth control pills or hormone replacement therapy (HRT), diuretics, potassium depleting agents or MAO inhibitors.
Consult a health care practitioner if menstruation is delayed or absent, or if you experience increased menstrual bleeding time. May cause headache, sun-sensitivity and increased burping and gas. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, ultraviolet light or UV therapy while taking this.
