Cranberries are a familiar commodity in Canada, appearing not only in juices (and their TV ads), trail mixes, cocktails, and of course sauces (for turkey or ham), but also in supplements to reduce bladder infections. But turns out their seeds (which are embedded in hollow chambers in the centre of the berries and are so tiny one might not even realize they're there) are so replete with fatty acids, nutrients, and antioxidants that the oil extracted from them can help reduce the look of aging.

Product Notes:

Although cranberries are far better known in natural health circles for their ability to help prevent harmful bacteria like E. coli from sticking to the lining of urinary tract when consumed, their seeds are rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids (especially Oleic, Linoleic, and Linolenic acids -  think omega-3 and -6 - to help reduce inflammation); and phytosterols (like campe-, stigma-, and beta-sito-sterol); and vitamins (including several forms of tocopherols and tocotrienols [Vitamin E]) and minerals.

These phytonutrients can have several benefits when used topically on the skin, such as strengthening the epidermal lipid barrier to retain moisture; strengthening connective tissues, which helps keep the skin firm; and helping reduce the appearance of age spots.

Ingredients:

Organic Cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon) seed oil, cold-pressed, nondeodorized; with added organic rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) leaf extract as a preservative.
