Returning soon (as of late June, 2025). Pumpkin Seed Oil is a nutritional oil rich in essential fatty acids, especially the Omega-6 fatty acid, linoleic C18:2, and is also rich in two forms of Vitamin E. This product has been derived entirely from 100% natural unrefined, Cold Pressed (expeller-pressed) Pumpkin Seed Oil, supplying 1000 mg per softgel, and has been screened for potency and purity.
Product Notes:
While a beneficial oil for all, NOW Foods especially recommends Pumpkin Seed Oil for men over 40 years of age as nutritional support for prostate health.
Pumpkin Seed Oil (or PSO) may also be able to help slow down or even reverse androgenetic alopecia (i.e., primarily, but not exclusively, male pattern baldness), thanks to its apparent ability to inhibit or block the 5-alpha reductase enzyme responsible for converting testosterone to DHT (dihydrotestosterone, the primary cause of alopecia) as well as its mineral content. This would likely require 12 to 24 weeks of consistent use to notice visible results, however.
