Product Notes:
As an edible oil, cacao butter can be used in lieu of butter or cooking oils in virtually any recipe you might use them, whether as an ingredient or to prevent sticking. And with its silky smooth texture and moisturizing properties, it can easily be made into a cream by warming it up a little for use as a natural beauty or body butter.
Organic Cacao Butter (which is solid at room temperature and does not require refrigeration) is produced simply by grinding up and pressing whole cacao beans until they become liquefied (at which point it is Cacao Paste), and separating out the oils which rise to the top when that settles (from the protein and the fiber at the bottom, which can become Cacao Powder). This is done without the use of chemicals or solvents, and at a fairly low temperature, so it retains its chocolate aroma and remains a nourishing source of healthy fats like Oleic, Palmitic, and Palmitoleic Acid, plus a host of antioxidants.
Related Product: We also carry 454 g bags of Organic Traditions Cacao Powder. These bags are usually in stock at our retail store, and not generally available for shipping unless by special order.
