Cold sore outbreaks may be caused by a variety of factors such as illness, stress, fatigue or coming into contact with someone who has a cold sore. Research indicates that supplementing lysine can drastically reduce the duration and healing time of cold sores, as well as prevent their recurrence. In addition, eating foods that are naturally high in lysine, such as fruits, vegetables, eggs, fish, beef and dairy products, may also aid in reducing the duration and reoccurrence of cold sores. However, try to avoid foods that are high in arginine, such as chocolate, wheat, and nuts, as this amino acid supports the replication of the herpes simplex virus in the body.

SuperLysine+ Ingredients:
Each tablet contains:
L-Lysine (as L-lysine hydrochloride): 500 mg
Odorless Garlic (Allium sativum) [Bulb] Extract: 3:1: 66.7 mg
Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid): 33.3 mg
Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea) [Root] Extract 4:1: 33.3 mg
Propolis (bee hive of the honey) 2:1: 8.3 mg
Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) [Root] Extract 4:1: 5 mg
Non-medicinal ingredients: Powdered cellulose, stearic acid, dicalcium phosphate dehydrate, silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, calcium stearate.
Suggested Usage:
Adults: take 2 tablets three times daily.

Warnings:
Do not use if you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives or other medications which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance, or if you have hypokalemia, high blood pressure, or a kidney or cardiovascular disorder.
Consult a health care practitioner prior to using Quantum Health Super Lysine+ if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; or following a low protein diet; or taking blood thinners, protease inhibitors, or immunosuppressants; or have diabetes, an autoimmune disorder, a liver disorder, or a progressive systemic disease such as tuberculosis, collagenosis, multiple sclerosis, AIDS and/or HIV infection; or if you are allergic to bee products, poplar tree products, or balsam of Peru.
