Product Notes:

In technical terms, Crampbark is an antispasmodic, meaning it can suppress muscle spasms and the pain associated with them by helping the muscles relax. It's mainly used for easing menstrual cramps and dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation, characterized by cramps and pain in the lower abdomen), where the guidance is to start taking it a day before the period (if known) to reduce the frequency and intensity of the cramps, or at the very onset of cramping to help relieve the discomfort and produce a more comfortable cycle. That's especially the case for this type of Crampbark when the pain radiates down into the thighs, but some advise that if you're more prone to severe low back pain which bears down into the pelvis, you might want a slightly different form: the Viburnum prunifolium variety (aka Blackhaw).

Menstrual cramps are not the only type of muscle spasms Crampbark might be able to provide symptomatic relief for, however. Others may include: uterine cramps; preterm labour; lung or bronchospasms (related to asthma or dry coughs); or even for leg cramps or restless leg syndrome. It may even help you expel kidney stones naturally!

Ingredients:

Wildcrafted Crampbark (Viburnum opulus, dried root bark)

Non-medicinal ingredients: Distilled water, organic alcohol.

* Crampbark comes from a flowering shrub with the scientific name Viburnum opulus that can grow into a small tree up to 5 metres high in various parts of Europe, northern Africa, Asia, and North America. It's also known as European guelder (or guelder rose), water elder, rose elder, Rose Ebru, cherry-wood, snowball tree, or European cranberrybush. (Or as gilaburu, in Turkey.)

Suggested Usage:

Adults: Take 4 mL (120 drops) (which is easier than it sounds, since the dropper bottle has a marker for 1 ml), three times daily in a little water on an empty stomach. Alternatively, for acute episodes, you can take 0.5 mL (15 drops) every 15 minutes for up to 16 hours daily.

Warnings:

Keep out of reach of children.
