Potent Skin Healing
Not all products begin with an 'origin story', but this one certainly does. Back in 1985, its developer (who is indeed named Sven, and is a farmer who lives on a relatively remote island off the tip of New Zealand) witnessed the miraculous healing power of Manuka after a splinter from that tree got embedded in a neighbouring boy's eye, yet left no lasting damage: not even an infection. That led him to discover more about that and other therapeutic native plants in his area, and to begin developing ways of producing natural extracts and products from them.
To fight infections and reduce inflammation, this one combines extracts of manuka leaf oil to kill bacteria; palmarosa and rosemary oils to neutralize other microbial agents, and to combat inflammation, along with marshmallow root; Kanuka leaf oil for all of the above and more (it has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, as well as analgesic and properties). It also has a variety of other skin moisturizing, soothing, and nourishing ingredients, including Shea Butter, Calendula, and Vitamin E (Tocopherol).
This fragrance-free, non-greasy formula goes to work quickly, and can be even be used as a light daily moisturizer.
