Joya Shoe Technology and Sizing Information

(please note, there is no audio on this video)

The Joya technology

The softest shoe in the world enables comfortable walking and supports a natural sequence of movements.

The positive effect of walking on a soft, elastic subsurface or soft natural ground on the musculoskeletal system (sensomotoric training) has been used in physiotherapy for a long time, and has been adequately proven in many studies. The soft and elastic material and design of the patented Joya shoe brings about optimal pressure distribution under the sole of the foot when walking and standing, meaning that high pressure point loads are avoided.

Joya soft soles are designed to adapt to the shape of the foot, just as sand does when you stand or walk on it. This distributes your body weight over the entire sole of the foot when you stand, walk, or jog, without falling on the heels and toes. In contrast, in conventional footwear, the pressure is concentrated on the heels and toes, punishing these points and may even cause pain. This is illustrated here, in these images taken with a plantar pressure analyzer, which show how the high pressure zones (the red zones) at the heels and pads at the base of the big toe while wearing conventional footwear (at the left) were dissipated when wearing the Joya shoe (on the right).

Joya shoes have many beneficial effects on the body. Due to the strong shock absorbency of the soft PU (PolyUrethane) sole, the pressure on the spinal column can be reduced, which can provide relief from back pain, tensed muscles, and hip problems. In addition, the rolling motion of Joya shoes via the outside of the foot instead relying on just the front of the foot provides relief for a number foot problems such as fallen arches, splay foot, heel spurs, bunions, as well as knee problems. The natural cushioning effect provides a soft platform to aid with foot (arthrosis), heel (plantar fasciitis), forefoot (hallux) problems, as well as diabetes- related complications.

In addition, the slight instability generated by the rolling motion design of the Smart Balance sole leads you to work more muscles in the body to maintain an upright posture, which strengthens both your leg and hip muscles and overall posture, and relieves pressure, while also providing an ultrasoft and comfortable experience for your whole body.

The technology in Joya shoes are ideal for individuals who are on their feet for long periods of time (such as chefs, cashiers, waiters, etc.), older people who want more comfort and support from their footwear, or anyone who wants to prevent chronic conditions from developing (such as shin splints).
