Pet Recovery has two main mechanisms of action to reduce inflammation in pets: as a powerful antioxidant, and as cell repairer.

Product Notes:

Whole Body Health & Joint Function

Recovery's antioxidant properties work to neutralize the free radicals which can contribute to many diseases and debilitating conditions, while its cell repairing constituents stabilize cell membranes, heal existing damage, and help prevent further damage (by preventing histamine or other substances which can cause pain and inflammation from being released from leaky cell walls).

Purica's Recovery for Pets can help cats, dogs, ferrets, hamsters or guinea pigs; birds; or even reptiles, amphibians, and fish.

Pets are just like people in being susceptible to aging processes and injuries (including surgeries) which can benefit from nutraceuticals designed to reduce pain and inflammation and boost circulation and the production of synovial fluids to lubricate the joints. Purica's flagship product, Recovery, was designed to do just that, first for horses (the EQ or Equine version) and then for people (see The Purica Story here). Recovery SA or Pet Recovery is virtually the same formulation for Small Animals, except for slight differences in the relative quantities of some ingredients.

Extra Strength: Purica Pet Recovery formerly came in two strengths, with the only difference being the inclusion of Hyaluronic Acid in the Extra Strength versions. The other types have been discontinued as of 2025.

These products were previously marketed as 'Purica Recovery SA' (for Small Animals). Note on reformulation: This product was reformulated in 2025 to ensure it is caffeine-free (there was green tea in the original formulations). The new powdered form now contains the natural anti-inflammatory agent boswellia.

Conditions Pet Recovery Can Help With:

Aging: by decreasing lactic acid levels and cell/tissue damage and breakdown associated with age-related conditions, maintaining optimum tissue hydration, and increasing cell receptivity to hormones and cell repair, and improving breathing and circulation.

Arthritis, Hip Dysplasia, Osteochondrosis (OCD: when loose pieces or flaps of cartilage develop and may break off and clog joint spaces) and Wound Healing & Surgery: by increasing the circulation of nutrients to the affected cells and extracellular structures, halting tissue damage and modulating inflammation, to improve healing.
